Filled for 2024 Summer Intern, Delage Farms Ltd

Position filled for 2024

Job Description:

Delage Farms operates a large-scale, modern family farm near Indian Head, SK. We are looking for a well-rounded individual who strives to take their skill set to the next level. Our summer student position will put you in the field with great mentors and allow you to apply your knowledge from school to our farming operation. Visit our website to learn more about the history of our farm and our farming practices: delagefarms.com

Our summer student will be part of the entire growing season – from ensuring optimal crop establishment, weed scouting, and fungicide decisions through harvest management.

This job will provide practical, hands-on learning that will give you insight into the logistic, economic and agronomics factors that go into running a successful farm. Your future employers will love seeing that you’ve spent time on our farm - moving past the books into the practical.

Your role will vary depending on the needs of the business during each stage of the growing cycle. You may be field scouting one day, analyzing satellite imagery the next and moving people around the following. You will be a personal assistant, social media director, and assist with data management - all while digging in the soil, driving down gravel roads, and watching the crop grow on our family farm. This position is fast-paced and exciting, and you will be working alongside our tight-knit family and knowledgeable team of farm workers.
