The Family Farm Experience

Experiencing History Through Our Land

The Delage Farms yard site sits on land that was part of the original Qu'Appelle Valley Farming Company, more commonly known as Bell Farm.

Bell Farm owned 50,000 acres in the Indian Head area during the 1880s and became one of Canadian history's first agriculture research stations. The Bell Farm's commitment to agricultural research and innovation altered the farming landscape in Saskatchewan. Delage Farms recognizes the legacy of the Bell Farm with our dedication to environmental stewardship and agricultural innovation on our modern family farm.

Sowing Saskatchewan's Fields

Our primary crops are canola, wheat, peas, and lentils, which we grow on a carefully managed three-to-four-year rotation.

We continually use agricultural innovation and technology to improve our farming operations and prioritize careful land and crop management practices and environmental stewardship.

Riding the Wave of Innovation for Seeding and Harvesting

The spring seeding and fall harvest seasons are the farm's busiest times, and the farm is a hive of activity. The busy seasons take careful coordination to keep farming activities running smoothly and safely.

Our modern grain farm operates the best agricultural technology available to drive productivity, improve efficiency, and ensure our farm equipment operators come home safely at the end of the day.

At the peak of the busy seasons, we operate:

  • 10 combines

  • 3 grain carts

  • 8 semi-trucks

  • 4 seeders
